I've known about this nomination for about 3 weeks now, a part of me was still enjoying the little media hiatus I've been on because I recently realised that the real big, proper business is not done online (story for another day).But this one, we need to celebrate.The nominations that I get on merit without having to ask anyone to nominate me or without me nominating myself just hit different. Guess who has been nominated for 3 different awards?I was nominated by one of my friends/old mentors for the Australian Foundation's Diversity and Inclusion Award. Once the evidence was submitted, I was contacted by Awards Australia informing me that the assessment board wanted to add another nomination to my name—the Connecting Communities Award.Then, things get even more exciting. The sponsors of the awards get to choose a nominee for their own category. And guess what! The University of Queensland nominated me for the Create Change Award.This is massive! I am beyond excited and honestly so proud of myself.I want to thank everyone who has ever helped me get to where I am today.
