WHAT TYPE OF ROLLS DO YOU USE FOR OVEN BAKED SLIDERS?

Your favorite soft roll in a slider size will work great. I love potato rolls. Be sure to look for the package of 24 party rolls. They are the perfect size for this slider recipe. You can also use Hawaiian rolls. The sweet, soft rolls are perfect for baked sliders recipes.

CAN I USE ANY TYPE OF HAM AND CHEESE?

I recommend using your favorite ham and cheese combo or use what you find on sale. I love Havarti cheese and Virginia baked ham, so that is what I use and recommend on my ham and cheese sliders recipe. Don't be afraid to mix it up and get creative!

DO YOU HAVE TO USE THE SAUCE?

The buttery Dijon sauce is essential to making these oven baked ham and cheese sliders. With just 5 ingredients, the sauce is super easy to make and adds loads of flavor! Don't skip on the sauce. Without it you just have a hot ham and cheese sandwich. The sauce, along with the soft rolls, is what makes these baked ham and cheese sliders special.

HOW DO YOU MAKE HAM AND CHEESE SLIDERS

Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup melted butter with 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds, and 1 teaspoon dried minced onion...

Whisk to combine...

Slice the tops off the rolls and carefully set them aside until ready to use. Lay the bottom halves of the rolls in a 13x9 casserole dish...

Layer cheese slices on the rolls. I used 12 slices of thin creamy Havarti cheese...

Layer ham slices on top of the cheese. I used 24 slices of Virginia Baked Ham, sliced thinly. I layered one slice of ham on each bun.

Carefully place the bun lids on top of the ham and pour on the buttery mustard glaze. If the glaze is too thick you can heat it in the microwave to thin it out a bit for pouring or you can brush it on. Either works fine.

Bake in the oven preheated to 350°F for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is nicely melted and the sliders are warmed through. Serve and enjoy!
