One of the frequently used tools that is omni-present in Thor Ragnarok is a hammer. A hammer has a very specific symbolic representation that is of might and strength and strong aspiration. In Norse mythology, Thor, being the god of thunder, war and storms was even more empowered by its true companions – a hammer called Mjolnir and an enchanted belt that doubled Thor’s strength.

Thor’s symbolic meaning in the movie is of the freemen. He is always fighting for his way of expressing and living freely. Thor is formidable to his enemies, yet so awesomely cool and kind and loving to his friends.

A hammer, having a very strong presence in the movie, is used as my symbolic reference in the recipe I made with my son. What we really enjoyed was our time and laughs shared while we were arranging the marshmallows and pretzels and lots of chocolate dipping and chocolaty fingers while making this easy and very interactive recipe! You can make something similar in your time with your children.

The emphasis is on time shared together.

All ingredients are readily available. Make it a Pretzel Movie Night! Get stick pretzels, twist pretzels and get down to chocolate dipping and decorating. I used Wilton Pearl Food Coloring to add that shimmering silver accent to my fun recipes. But decoration is up to your creative mind!
