Should you buy Heelys a size bigger? ›

A good thing about the two wheeled Heelys is that you can always take the front wheel out so that you then have a one wheeled Heely! We would recommend going one size up when buying Heelys as they usually come up on the small side. So if you would normally be a size 2uk then go one size bigger to a 3uk.

Heavy marketing for the Heely was always focused on advancing the shoes outreach. Heelys once rapidly gained popularity. However, from 2009 onward, Heelys have lost much of their popularity from declining sales, inventory issues and safety concerns (especially among children).

Two-wheeled Heelys are better suited to first-time users and beginners as they provide more stability when riding. However, if you improve your skills and balance over time just easily pop one of the wheels out and you can turn easier and go faster with just the single wheel.

What sizes does Heelys come in / How do Heelys sizes fit? All Models are Whole sizes ONLY and medium width. Sizes generally run true to slightly small so we encourage you to choose the larger size if you are between sizes.

My daughter loves her Heelys and after about a week, she was an expert with them. The shoes run small and I had to return a previous order for a larger size. Order at least one full size bigger for both boys and girls.

A: No they do not have a weight limit. The shoes are pretty durable and the way the wheels are placed in, it would take at least 500 pounds to break the holder.

Using Your Heelys Safely

It will be really hard to stop yourself, and you'll probably end up falling down. Don't heely near cars. If you lose control of your wheels, you could end up in a dangerous situation!

Another way to check this is to slip a finger between the heel of your foot and the heel of your shoe. There should be just enough space for your finger to fit nice and snugly. If your finger slides in easily with space to spare, you should probably go down a half size, while if it's a tight squeeze, go up half a size.
